Q U E S T I O N S   &   A N S W E R S

If you have any questions, please comment on this entry and we will reply as soon as possible. This post will be the game's FAQ.

Q. If we were interested in applying, would it be applicable to ask for a hold to ensure that moderators won't make a decision until all applications are in?

A. Yes; however, please allow up to TWO WEEKS for us to review all applications. The moderators have a life too, and we cannot always reply to applications within a few hours of receiving them.

Q. For the whore application, you want us to mention the price. Is that a specific one that we feel would fit, or do we just list the price that is in the Guide?

A. The one listed is merely a baseline price, or where the price should start at. You are most definitely allowed to make your own price you feel best fitted for your character.

Q. Would any book fandom characters be allowed?

A. No, sorry.

Q. On the application the sample third-person RP post is supposed to be at least one hundred words or so. Is that the standard for what all the RP posts should be, length wise?

A. No, it's merely a sample on your application to give us a better idea of how you will play the character. Show us your skillz.

Q. Do the hustlers actually get paid in some fashion, other than room and board? Or does it go completely to the Midnight Silk Pavillion?

A. 70% of everything they earn goes to Midnight Silk Pavillion. The rest is theirs and theirs only... although it isn't much!

Q. When a hustler gets too old, do they 'retire' somehow?

A. The cut-off age for hustlers would be 30; they then have the possibility to become teachers, or completely retire. When they leave, they get 20% of everything that they've earned at Midnight Silk Pavillion over the years.

Q. Are hustlers supposed/allowed to find their own customers in-game, or do we assume that they're always assigned?

A. Certainly! Any interactions you make can be taken into consideration, thus if you happen to get a customer's attention through the journals then they certainly can become part of their schedule. Customers are only "assigned" (so to speak) once they have made an appointment. There is no schedule set in stone dictating that such and such hustler must always see such and such customer at so and so hours. In the end, whatever the customer wants, goes.

Q. On hustlers and protectors... they're going to have a close relationship, obviously, sharing a bedroom and all. I had assumed that this could be sexual as well. Is this not the case?

A. According to the rules, no they're not allowed to have a relationship publicly. However, that doesn't mean they still haven't have the relationship. It'll just have to be a bit more on the sneaky side...somewhat "forbidden". They are definitely encouraged from an OOC perspective.

Q. What are the hours of the Midnight Silk Pavillion, and what are the hours of a hustler's/employees free time?

A. The Midnight Silk Pavillion has no set hours. As long as there are clients, they are willing to serve. People can either walk in or make an appointment--the latter being preferred obviously for preparation reasons. The MSP is open from Monday-Saturday, and Sunday it is not open for business. Curfew for hustler's is in effect Monday-Thursday (11:00 pm). Hustlers are allowed to leave the premises on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday without returning to the building at the end of the night. They have "free time" whenever they are not with a client, however, Monday-Friday they must be supervised by their protector and/or assistants when leaving the building to go on personal errands. On the weekend, they can be unsupervised.

Q. Considering it is the future, can a character have a pet robot/technologically advanced items?

A. Given that this is a futuristic setting, we do feel it would be acceptable to have pet robots, amoung other electronic inventions that may be more advanced to what presently exists in the world today. As long as you keep to the futuristic times with an overall antique appearance and nature you should be fine! We would like to keep the category of robot minimized in size--no giant mechas or robot frames wandering around the city. If you are in doubt about something, contact the moderators and we'll discuss the relevance of the item you wish to have in the game.

What kind of icons should we use? Are PB icons permitted?
UNF HOUSE; Multifandom RPG [NC-17]goodguidetounf on September 10th, 2007 12:42 am (UTC)
We perfer if you have icons available of your character that you use those, but we understand that sometimes images can be limited depending on their source. In that case, PBs are welcome - but they are not required.

Thanks. :]

Also, how long do we have to wait before applying for a second character?
UNF HOUSE; Multifandom RPG [NC-17]goodguidetounf on September 10th, 2007 05:08 pm (UTC)
Right away if you'd like. :) Our character limit as been bumped up to 4 character per player so you could even go as high as that at once if you wish. So long as you can stay active with them we don't mind.
